JCI Las Vegas Volunteers at Inaugural Las Vegas Japan Fair

JCI Las Vegas enjoyed volunteering at the first-ever Las Vegas Japan Fair, held at Chinatown Plaza on September 14, 2024. The event was an adaptation of the popular OC Japan Fair, bringing a slice of Japanese culture to the heart of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Japan Fair was initiated by the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Chamber and was brought to life thanks to the collaborative support of the Clark County, Anime Night Market, and several small businesses from across the city. Admission was free for the general public, and VIP ticket holders enjoyed exclusive access to unlimited sake and a fresh tuna bar. The event also featured cultural performances, a showcase of international cars, and a live tuna cutting demonstration, alongside opportunities to connect with the vibrant Japanese community in Las Vegas.

County Commissioner Justin Jones opened the evening with a special address, recognizing the event's importance in fostering cultural exchange and strengthening community ties.

JCI Las Vegas was thrilled to support this milestone event by providing volunteers who assisted with event logistics, vendor coordination, and guest services. The team worked alongside the event organizers to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, embodying JCI’s mission of community service and leadership development.
